weekend

the weekend went pretty well. my parent decided to take a weekend away and my little brother was sort of forced to come stay with me. it actually went pretty well. my little sister came over and spent saturday night so my room was rather crowded with the impromptu slumber party. we had a lot of fun and just generally relaxed.

the most amusing thing was spending so much time with my litte brother. usually when we are all at home he goes to his bedroom and hides for hours at a time. i think i spent the more time with him this weekend than i have spent with him in a good couple years. course i can't wait till he decides to speak in more than one syllable. currently he mostly just grunts or makes caveman noises which is not helpful if you are trying to figure out where to go, what to do, if he needs anything, etc. but i guess i'll have to wait a couple more years before he breaks out of this phase. although i am his sibling so that probably has the most to do with it. eh, we shall see.

this week is going to be pretty bad. two papers due at the beginning of next week, an exam at the end of this week, and i think i'm getting sick on top of it all. i've had a scratchy throat and a sinus headache much of the weekend and i'm running a bit of a temperature.. hopefully it's only a cold that i can cure with some rest and lots of fluids... should make for an interesting week.
